Jamie + Kelly {Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Notre Dame}

We met Jamie and Kelly the night before they said "I Do". They were planning their wedding from afar, so while we had conversations over email and phone, the first time we met was at their rehearsal! We connected right away. And came to adore them, along with their family and friends!

Upon arriving at the Morris Inn Saturday morning, we could sense that this day was going to be filled with many emotions. Jamie and Kelly are such kind people who truly love each other and they have amazing friends and family who love and care for them deeply. When Kelly's bridesmaids saw her for the first time in her wedding dress, there were many happy tears. Seriously. Such a stunning bride and you could really see the joy in her eyes.

Kelly's dad also had a 'first moment' look with his sweet daughter and the tears didn’t stop! It's sometimes in those quiet moments, before the pace of the day goes so quickly where some of the most heartfelt memories are made. It's quite humbling to be a part of them. And this one, was one of our favorites.

When you walk into the Basilica, there is a always a sense of awe at it's beauty and grander. On this day though, the awe came from these two people, who love each other so much, and were deciding to spend the rest of their lives together. The love felt throughout was electric.

We ventured around campus after the ceremony and had a blast with this hilarious and fun group of people! But the tears weren’t quite over just yet. Because the most special speech we’ve ever heard was given after Jamie and Kelly arrived at their reception. Kelly’s dad spoke such genuine, heartfelt words about his beautiful daughter and honestly, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. If you’d like to hear some of his speech, check out this amazing wedding day video from the Wholehearted Wedding Film Company. It’s beautiful and you just might shed a few tears yourself!

This day was such an honor for us. We were able to document a day that was filled with such genuine, heartfelt moments. Moments that in the hard times, this sweet couple can look back on, and smile, and remember exactly how they felt when they experienced them, and fall back in love all over again.
