Diamond Lake Family Photos | Southwest Lower Michigan Family Photography

Extended family sessions are super freakin’ fun, especially when they’re in a place that the family holds close to their heart!

This gorgeous family enjoyed some quality time together, during the Fourth of July weekend, at gorgeous Diamond Lake, in Southwest Lower Michigan.

You could say … they all have literally, grown up on the lake. And the weekend was quite celebratory for everyone! Not only was it the first family photo for the little lady, who is the first grandchild in the Valencia family, but it was also a birthday celebration for that gorgeous duo in white … they both just turned 60! Grandparents, uncles, cousins and aunts were also on hand to celebrate too! And although a little warm, this beautiful family made the most of it! 

There were laughs, a few tears, but mostly, there were good times. Thankful they braved the heat together ... and I'm pretty sure they all jumped in the lake afterwards!

Cobus Creek Indiana Family Photos | Northwest Indiana Family Photography

This sweet momma, and her beautiful babes adventured with me a few weeks ago at Cobus Creek Park , located in the northwest corner of Elkhart County! It’s a gorgeous little park in Osceola, Indiana, and a great place to soak up some nature!

I have been lucky enough to know Kristen for 5+ years now. My sister and I photographed their wedding back in 2013, and their family has grown by two since then! Elliott and Edie are little sweethearts, and Elliott is the cutest big brother!

We ventured to Cobus Creek back in April, so spring was emerging slowly during that time, but the blooms were beginning to bud, and the beautiful blue sky made for the perfect evening!

We got to walk a few trails, played in the water, blew some bubbles, and of course, played on the playground! It was a wonderful evening for an adventure with these beautiful souls!

Silver Beach Michigan Family Photos | Southwest Michigan Family Photography

This sweet family of three enjoyed a family photo session at Silver Beach in Michigan!!

Jessica, Skyler, and little Aspen were the lucky winners of a gifted family photo session from a contest that we held over the holidays!

Our original plan for this family shoot in Southwest Michigan was to take the family over to the historic carousels at Silver Beach to grab some shots. Sadly, the carousels were closed over the winter, so we decided to head for the beach instead! This sweet family braved the frigid frigid temperatures to walk in the sand and play on the shore to create some amazing memories together.

Little Aspen had so much fun running around in the sand. He played with his mom and dad on the beach, and he was full of nothing but smiles and laughter! He was absolutely smothered in all the love for the entire day.

After we all braved the freezing temperatures of wintertime at Silver Beach, we decided it was time to warm up, and what better way than with some hot chocolate?! A trip to the South Bend Chocolate Cafe, in downtown St. Joseph, Michigan was in order! We cozied up inside the small cafe while the family warmed up with hot chocolate (whipped cream included) and a few whipped cream topped noses ensured! It was the absolute perfect way to finish off their family session!
