Starved Rock Adventure Session | Halie & Tyler

Halie and Tyler answered our Starved Rock model call a couple months back. They were a perfect fit for what we were looking for! They are adventurous and fun and take a beautiful photo!

I met up with them at Starved Rock State Park in Oglesby, IL at the beginning of June. These two came all the way from Newaygo, MI!  It was such a HOT and humid day but these two hiked with me for a couple of hours and were such troopers! It was so great to get to know Halie and Tyler. Their love for each other was so sweet and they made my job that much easier!

Congrats to this wonderful couple on their recent engagemnt!!

Mitchell & Ashley {Lucinda's House at Idlewild} Nashville, TN

We met Mitchell and Ashley while traveling to Nashville, Tennessee back in May. We were attending a photography workshop and figured, "Hey, why not try and meet some new people, and photograph them along the way!" So, that's exactly what we did. :)

After finding the PERFECT AirBNB, Lucinda's House at Idlewild, we absolutely had to photograph this very sweet couple there! These two were such sweethearts, filled with so much love and joy for the other. You could tell every chance they they looked at each other that their souls were meant to be united forever.

It was an absolute joy meeting these two, and we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to photograph these sweet, genuine moments!!!

Camping Adventures, 2017 {Personal}

Every year, well, mostly every year, our family gets together for a camping adventure, that winds up being cold, rainy and some of the MOST fun we have together! We're kinda' silly. Maybe a little crazy. But we really enjoy our time, and there are always MANY laughs! And they're the good ones. The real deep belly laughs that drown out all the outside woes, at least for a few days. :)

We typically camp at Pokagon State Park, in Angola, Indiana, on Halloween weekend. The campground hosts many fun events for kids - and adults, including trick-or-treating through the campsites! The kiddos - and our sister's husband - dressed up for the festivities, and we enjoyed meeting new folks along the way! (make sure you check out those costumes below! ;) They're good ones!!) Not to mention, the fall colors were absolutely perfect this year!

We are always so grateful for these days, as they don't happen as often as we'd like. But despite the weather, and the distance that sometimes separates us, the adventure always keeps calling us back together, and these new moments sustain us, when we must part ways, until we all are able to meet again.
